A public park and open space design near the university campus in Skopje. The elongated site is transformed into a vibrant gathering space anchored by a central circular green with a sculptural water feature. The park features tree-lined promenades, a children's playground with a bold red public art sculpture, seating terraces, and diverse planting that creates a welcoming environment for students, families, and the local community.
Design Concept
The design organizes the linear site around a central circular gathering space that acts as the heart of the park. From this node, tree-lined paths radiate outward, connecting to the surrounding streets and buildings. The planting strategy creates a layered canopy — tall deciduous trees provide shade along the promenades, while lower ornamental planting defines edges and intimate garden rooms. The playground area is treated as an artistic installation with sculptural play elements.
