Treska Residential Masterplan
Urban Residential Quarter Design
A comprehensive urban masterplan for a new residential quarter in the Treska area of Skopje. The proposal introduces a diverse mix of housing typologies — from low-rise courtyard blocks to mid-rise apartment buildings and a distinctive circular civic building — organized around a central tree-lined boulevard with generous green spaces, communal courtyards, and neighborhood amenities that create a vibrant, walkable community.
Design Concept
The masterplan establishes a clear urban hierarchy: a central boulevard acts as the spine, with perpendicular green corridors connecting the neighborhood to surrounding areas. Building heights step down from the boulevard edge toward the interior courtyards, creating a human-scale environment. Each residential block frames a semi-private courtyard with shared gardens and play areas. The circular building at the eastern end serves as a civic anchor and gateway marker.
