Open-Air Performance Venue

An open-air performance venue and cultural landscape set along a lakeside/riverfront in Skopje (Location No. 1). The design places minimal golden-yellow pavilion structures among mature trees near the water's edge, creating intimate outdoor stages for summer cultural events. A waterfront promenade with timber decking connects the pavilions while preserving the natural parkland character of the site.

Design Concept

The design philosophy is one of minimal intervention — rather than imposing a built structure on the natural landscape, the pavilions are conceived as luminous objects placed among the existing trees. Their golden-yellow cladding catches light and creates visual markers within the green canopy. The performance spaces are defined by the landscape itself: clearings become audience areas, slopes become natural amphitheaters, and the water's edge becomes a backdrop. Infrastructure is kept below grade or integrated into the promenade.
