Kindergarten

Early Childhood Education Facility

A modern kindergarten and daycare facility designed as a competition entry. The single-story building features generous glazing that opens classroom spaces directly onto landscaped outdoor play areas, a green roof that integrates the building with its garden context, and a child-friendly spatial organization that prioritizes natural light, connection to nature, and safe outdoor access. The design creates a nurturing environment where indoor and outdoor learning spaces flow seamlessly together.

Design Concept

The building is organized as a series of interconnected pavilion-like classroom clusters, each with direct access to a dedicated outdoor garden area. The single-story height keeps the building at the scale of a child, while the green roof makes it appear as part of the landscape when viewed from the surrounding residential buildings. Large sliding doors allow the classrooms to open completely to the gardens in warm weather, extending the learning environment outdoors. Natural materials and colors create a warm, domestic atmosphere.
