Karposh Municipal Park
Architectural and Horticultural Park Design
A competition entry for the conceptual architectural and horticultural design of a public park in Karposh Municipality, Skopje. The design transforms a triangular site at the intersection of major roads into a richly programmed green oasis. The park features winding pathways, diverse planting zones, recreational areas, children's playgrounds, an amphitheater, fitness areas, and quiet garden spaces, all organized around a network of pedestrian and cycling paths.
Design Concept
The landscape design uses organic, flowing forms that respond to the triangular geometry of the site. A hierarchy of paths — from wide promenades to intimate garden trails — guides visitors through distinct experiential zones. The planting strategy combines native species with ornamental varieties, creating seasonal interest and biodiversity. Key gathering nodes are placed at path intersections, each with its own character and function.
